Hip Bursitis
Hip Bursitis is a common problem which causes pain at the outer hip and upper thigh. Repetitive movements over the hip can cause inflammation and a fluid build-up which may result in hip pain with every step. With incorrect alignment of feet, ankles or knees the pain may get even worse. Common symptoms include pain, swelling and being unable to lie on your side.
Iliotibial Band Syndrome (ITB Syndrome)
The Iliotibial Band is a thick tendon which runs down the outer thigh from the hip to below the knee. Similar to Hip Bursitis, if you have incorrect alignment then your hip pain can be aggravated. Common symptoms include pain and swelling at the outside of the knee.
